Beijing's Beihai Park welcomed the lovely bear Winnie the Pooh and his friend Tigger on Tuesday.
The live show "Disney Live! Winnie the Pooh" debuts Wednesday at Poly Theater in Beijing, the last stop of its China tour.
The beloved Pooh, Tigger and the show's storyteller Tracy met Beijing media on a big boat on Beihai Park's lake.
It is the first time these Disney characters have come to Beijing.
Tracy, the singer and storyteller in the show, learned each language there during the show's world tour in the past two years. This time, she has learned to sing in Mandarin too.
Tracy said she heard many Chinese songs on the radio and TV. She also gave credit to the singing style of Peking opera.
The most interesting questions raised to the director were from children.
When asked who plays Winnie the Pooh, the director kept it a secret and insisted Pooh plays himself.
The director also told the media Pooh will teach kids his body language and dance movements.
The show's tour in China began in Shenzhen on July 18, receiving a warm welcome from Chinese children and their parents. Winnie and his friends have since travelled to four cities in one month over 70 performances.
Over 700,000 have attended the show across China.
The organizer, Poly Culture & Arts, said the box office has taken in record sales in many Chinese cities.
The show about the Hundred Acre Wood and its lovable inhabitants will kick off tonight at Poly Theater until the 27th this month.
